Comodo BOClean

Quote
The biggest threat on the internet is having your system and your confidential data hijacked remotely.

Smoother, smaller, smarter, safer, faster, better! If you don't have a resident "computer geek" to clean and protect your machine, use OURS! BOClean is like having your own resident geek. BOClean automatically detects and defeats spyware and malware of all kinds, and then cleans up the mess without the need for "Hijack This" reports (and the time for many to find and get help) or waiting until the next "scheduled scan".
Should your antivirus manage to catch malware of any sort, as often as not, it'll be unable to properly clean it from your system, which in some cases can cause the nasty to replicate itself and simply run again.

File scanning, as used by so many AntiVirus and other AntiTrojan software, has unique vulnerabilites. There are a multitude of compressors, encryptors and wrappers that can elude filescanners. BOClean's MEMORY scanning is INSTANTANEOUS. Any time any process or dependency is started, BOClean stops the program (momentarily) the moment it's ready to actually start running. This allows the program to UNPACK (unwrap, decompress, etc.) in memory whereupon BOClean halts it, sniffs it and if it ISN'T a nasty, then lets it proceed. If it smells like a nasty, BOClean halts it completely and then throws up a box asking if you want to remove it and its entrails completely.

Comodo BOClean 4.27 released  July 18, 2008

Changes:

1. Solved problem in Windows PSAPI routines which caused corrupted memory allocations and "BOClean not responding" errors on "piggy programs."
2. Removed erroneous error messages on update failure.
3. Fixed excluder to ensure "windows services" could be excluded even if not actually running.

 Windows For Workgroups 3.11 (Win32s required)/95/98/98SE/ME/2000/Server2003/XP (32+64)Longhorn Server/Vista any incl 64)

Note to Vista users: If the installation reports "not responding" the install is proceeding and will be back to you in a few seconds. This is the result of Vista losing track of the window.
